Unknown to many of the city’s residents, Parañaque’s main thoroughfare, Dr. A. Santos Avenue is considered to be the MOST dangerous road in the Philippines, yes more than EDSA or Commonwealth Avenue aka the Killer Highway.
According to Thinking Machines, a large data company that studied traffic data derived from the MMDA, Dr. A. Santos was the most dangerous road for Drivers and the fifth most dangerous road for pedestrians if you consider the number of accidents per 10,000 residents.

Since congestion is apparent in our beloved city and no new roads are being built, vehicular traffic within Parañaque City especially Dr. A Santos Avenue, must be free from obstruction and should move orderly to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
Enforcement of traffic laws is very vital in this important road. Unfortunately, manually apprehending motorists will necessitate the stopping of the apprehended vehicle, thus choking the already congested Dr. A Santos Avenue. That is why the No Contact Apprehension Program is implemented in this area so that discipline is implemented without choking the streets.
The city has not spent a single centavo for the implementation of this cost effective project. The whole programme is funded through the proceeds that are collected. As motorists become more careful, the city and residents could see a reduction in emergency cases and other expenses related to vehicular accidents.
